OUR MISSION
Recovery Community Network
At the Recovery Community Network in St. Cloud, Minnesota, our mission is to empower individuals in recovery by fostering an environment of openness and support. We aim to break down the barriers of stigma and isolation by promoting connection, communication, and community engagement. Our efforts are dedicated to enhancing the well-being and recovery experience of those affected by substance use disorders in Central MN, providing them with the tools and support necessary to lead fulfilling lives.
WHAT WE DO
We educate the community about substance use disorders and collaborate with centers of influence and lawmakers to expand the safety net for those living with or seeking help for substance use disorders. Our services, offered at no cost to individuals, include:
-
Promoting recovery through peer-to-peer services.
-
Utilizing multiple pathways to recovery, including harm reduction.
-
Employing motivational interviewing and a peer-based model of help.
-
Providing specific support services to our veteran community.
-
Offering housing assistance to the recovery community.
-
Working to decrease stigma and increase recovery options.
In addition to these services, RCN is a proactive member of the local recovery support network. We host monthly meetings for professionals in the substance use disorder field and for those in recovery, participate in the St. Cloud VA mental health council, and collaborate with the Beyond the Yellow Ribbon network. Our involvement also extends to participating in key community groups such as PONG, the Mid-Minnesota Transition Coalition, ARCO, and MARCO, thereby providing comprehensive support to the broader veteran community.
