What is Peer Recovery Coaching?

Peer Recovery Coaching is a supportive service that pairs individuals in recovery with trained peer coaches. These coaches are not sponsors, counselors, or therapists; they are peers who have walked the path of recovery themselves and understand the unique challenges and triumphs of the journey. Our coaches provide mentorship, support, and practical advice to help you achieve and maintain your recovery goals.

Our Evidence-Based Approach
At RCN, our Peer Recovery Support Services are grounded in evidence-based practices. This means our programs and approaches are based on the latest research and proven methods in the field of addiction recovery. We are committed to providing high-quality, effective support that truly makes a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Training and Certification
Our peer coaches undergo 46 hours of rigorous training and are certified by the Minnesota Certification Board (MCB). This comprehensive training ensures that our coaches are well-equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide effective support. Additionally, our coaches are supervised by trained Peer Support Specialists and overseen by Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselors, ensuring the highest standards of care and support.

Lived Experience in Recovery
One of the key strengths of our Peer Recovery Coaching program is the lived experience of our coaches. Having personally experienced the journey to recovery, our coaches bring a unique and empathetic perspective to their work. They understand the challenges you face and are dedicated to helping you overcome them.

Bilingual Support
To better serve our diverse community, we offer peer recovery coaching in both English and Spanish. We are committed to making our services accessible to everyone in the St. Cloud area, ensuring that language is not a barrier to receiving support.
