Supporting Justice-Involved Recovery: Our Program Highlights
Attending DOC Transition Fairs
We actively participate in Department of Corrections (DOC) Transition Fairs, offering vital resources and information to individuals preparing for reentry into society. These fairs provide an opportunity for us to connect with justice-involved individuals, offering guidance and support as they transition from incarceration to community living.
Weekly and Monthly Meetings
Our program includes regular meetings to provide ongoing support and recovery resources to justice-involved individuals:
-
Stearns County Jail: We hold three meetings weekly in the Stearns County Jail, providing consistent support and recovery-focused activities for incarcerated individuals.
-
Benton County: We conduct two meetings monthly in Benton County, ensuring that individuals in this area also have access to our recovery support services.
Stearns County Drug Court
RCN collaborates closely with the Stearns County Drug Court to support participants in their recovery journey. Our involvement includes providing peer recovery coaching, linkage to care, and other essential services to help individuals meet the requirements of the drug court program and achieve sustained recovery.
Why Our Program Matters
Holistic Support Our Justice Involved Program is designed to address the unique challenges faced by justice-involved individuals. By providing holistic support that includes peer recovery coaching, resource coordination, and ongoing follow-up, we help individuals build a strong foundation for their recovery and reintegration into the community.
Peer-Led Approach
Our program is led by trained peer recovery coaches who have lived experience with recovery and the criminal justice system. This peer-led approach fosters trust and understanding, creating a supportive environment where individuals can openly share their experiences and receive guidance from those who have walked a similar path.
Community Integration
Reintegrating into the community after incarceration can be challenging. Our program focuses on helping individuals connect with community resources, including housing, employment, education, and healthcare, to ensure a successful transition and reduce the risk of recidivism.
